Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Job Description
Primary responsibility: develop analog/mixed-signal hard macros using proprietary CAD flows, participates in customer requirements discussions and creates design specifications. The successful candidate will perform circuit design in 180nm to 7nm CMOS processes technologies. The candidate will create behavioral models in Verilog, Set-up, run and analyze circuit simulations, Perform IC layout and verification (DRC/LVS). Additionally, Perform quality assurance procedures on developed hard macros, Deliver hard macros and support customer integration and testing, perform silicon characterization and prepare silicon verification reports, and perform other engineering duties as needed.
Job Requirements
MSEE required, Ph.D. preferred with 5+ years of experience in mixed-signal IC design, with emphasis on analog design experience, including:
- Experience with several analog/mixed-signal IC development cycles including design, simulation, layout and testing.
- Knowledge of differential ring oscillators, LC tank oscillators, bandgap references, biasing techniques, high speed frequency divider circuits, and linear feedback system techniques is a plus.
- Experience with transistor level design, block level integration, and block level simulation.
- Understanding of simulation models, design rules, verification procedures (DRC/LVS/ERC), and transistor-level simulations is essential.
- Experience with design practices such as minimizing device mismatch, noise, and signal coupling is a plus.
- Knowledge of process technology and physics related to sub-micron CMOS silicon technologies.
- Experience with simulation tools required to efficiently simulate analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Experience with CAD tools, Linux/Unix environments and scripting/programming.
- Knowledge of differential ring oscillators, LC tank oscillators, bandgap references, high speed current mirrors, ESD protection, dead zone minimizing phase/freq detectors, high speed frequency divider circuits, and linear feedback system techniques is a plus.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with customers, sales, marketing and field applications.
- Proven experience in developing and meeting engineering schedules.

Senior Logic Design Engineer
Job Description
True Circuits is looking for a Senior Logic Design Engineer for the development and verification of DDR PHY solutions. The successful candidate will create, verify and deliver to customers new DDR PHY semiconductor IP products and delivery platforms. The candidate will design logic and custom circuits, work with layout, verify the designs using simulations, and design the hardware and software to validate the designs in silicon. The candidate will work with lead customers and help devise and implement platforms that configure, validate and deliver various PHY implementations to customers’ requirements.
Job Requirements
BS or MS in CS or EE with 5+ years of broad IC design experience, including:
- High-speed logic design
- Logic verification (directed and constrained-random)
- Verilog, C programming, scripting and revision control
- Timing analysis
- Analog mixed-signal design experience is a plus
Solid programming skills (C or any modern, compiled language), including:
- Excellent architecture skills and code style practices
- Able to devise powerful algorithms and universal data structures
- Able to trouble-shoot and debug complex hardware/software systems

Analog/Mixed-Signal CAD Software Engineer/Linux Systems Administrator
Job Description
Primary responsibilities: signal simulation, schematic and layout entry, analysis, and verification. The successful candidate writes scripts and utilities to automate design flows, update technology files and verification decks, provide CAD support and methodology training to design engineering team, write application notes and document CAD processes.
Secondary responsibilities: Perform Linux system administration, including performing hardware/software upgrades, enhancements, and configuration changes when needed. Configures and maintains servers, workstations and printers, enforcing CAD system administration policies. Website development and support.
Job Requirements
- BSEE required, MSEE preferred with 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of CAD tool design and algorithms.
- Strong understanding of industry standard CAD tools.
- Understanding of analog/mixed-signal CMOS IC design and devices, particularly at 90nm processes technologies and below.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly root cause and resolve software and methodology problems in a team environment preferred.
- Proficient in C and C++ as primary software development languages, and Perl, sh, and csh as additional development languages.
- Proficient in Verilog and VHDL.
- Proficient with Linux systems and system administration.
